The “Candy Man” (Tim Weaver) offered up sweet treats to “Sophie” (Alexis Latter) in a scene from Borealis Bards’ production of Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka” on Sunday afternoon at the Backus Community Center in International Falls. The musical, which was part of the Backus 2017-18 Performing Arts Series and featured a cast of Borderland residents, ran Friday through Sunday. The next concert in the series is bluegrass quartet “Monroe Crossing” on Dec. 15.
