Dr. Eva Olsson spoke to a packed house at the Fort Frances Library Technology Centre yesterday evening as she talked about her survival through the Holocaust, hate, and bullying while stressing the need for parents to raise their children to have compassion for others. It was a return visit to the area by Olsson, who also was here last year to share her story with local students. Olsson was born to a poor Jewish family in Hungary and survived the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp before immigrating to Canada. Her visit was sponsored by the Rainy River District School Board and Northwest Catholic District School Board.
