Successful supper

Ashley Morrison and her daughter, Khloe, certainly seemed to be enjoying their spaghetti dinner during a benefit for local resident Samantha Pearson yesterday at the Fort High cafeteria. The dinner, which also featured a penny table, raffles, and a cookie walk, drew upwards of 300 people and cleared about $9,000 after expenses. Pearson, who remains at the Ottawa Heart Institute, received a heart transplant in October and then earlier this week had a pacemaker implanted. The 25-year-old reportedly is doing well, however, and her family is hopeful she will be able to come home for Christmas.
