Members of the Rainy River District OPP, Rainy River District EMS, Canada Border Services Agency, Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association and Redrum Motorcycle Club Treaty #3 joined forces on Saturday to take part in the annual Stuff-A-Cruiser campaign to help support local food banks and families in need this Christmas. The organizations were set up at various grocery stores across the district from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., including at Safeway, the Place and Walmart here in Fort Frances, Cloverleaf Grocery in Emo and Beaver Mills Market in Rainy River to collect food donations from generous members of the public. Even before lunchtime in Fort Frances, the three drop-off locations had each managed to fill at least one vehicle full of food, which will remain local to support those in need right here at home. – Ken Kellar photos
