Student gardening

planting plant

Sam Odrowski

Crossroads students visited Lowey’s Greenhouse last month, where they shifted plants into new containers before moving them to the community garden at their school. The visit to Lowey’s was part of the OPP-led program, “Project Sunset,” that takes Crossroads students out multiple times a year for a range of land-based activities. Once the community garden is harvested in the fall, students will learn how to pickle and can certain vegetables.
