Jane McLeod, left, Mary Brown, and Chris Lowe spent their afternoon yesterday dishing up delicious strawberry shortcake at the annual “Strawberry Social” hosted by the La Verendrye General Hospital Auxiliary. The popular event, which has been around since 1957, raised about $5,300 to help pay down the auxiliary’s pledge to the Riverside Foundation for Health Care towards the new CT scanner here.
