Alex Larson, left, and Michelle McCool each grabbed some “strawberries” from Diane Taggart and Laurie Kosowick at the Pick-a-Strawberry booth during the “Strawberry Social” held on the La Verendrye Hospital grounds on Thursday. Each of the made-up berries had a number or symbol on the bottom that corresponded to a prize bag for the lucky winner. The annual event also featured baking and books available for purchase, a draw table and bowls full of strawberry shortcake and ice cream.
