Thea Denby jumped high to launch her stomp rocket as Julie Parks watched Thursday at the Robert Moore School playground. Grade 5 students in Mrs. Moxham’s class created the rockets out of construction paper, foam insulation and PVC pipe attached to a two-litre pop bottle and challenged each other to send their rocket the farthest across the field. The students also had made solar ovens to try and roast marshmallows using sunlight.
