Members of the Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service worked at St. Michael’s School here after responding to a fire around 12:45 p.m. on Christmas Eve. The fire damaged one classroom extensively, with smoke damage throughout the rest of the building. Although the origin of the fire remains undetermined upon conclusion of the investigation, the Fort Frances OPP reported this morning there are no suspicious circumstances and foul play is not suspected.
