Angela Halvorsen admired a handbag donated for the silent auction at the “Goodbye Winter—Hello Spring” fundraiser social for the “Community Chest” on Friday night at the Memorial Sports Centre auditorium. About 250 people turned out for the event, which featured the music of the “Mud Lake City Boys,” “Centre-Line,” and “Phoenix Project,” as well as several auctions, including an online auction of five fishing trips that raised about $5,600. Organizers still were adding up all the proceeds as of press time today.
