Erika Gerula showed off her 1,270 pound steer that sold for $6.10 a pound, totalling $7,747 at the 4-H Market Steer Auction during the Emo Fair on Saturday. The Grand Champion this year was Hanna LeDrew’s 1,430 pound steer that sold for $10,010, at $7 a pound. A total of 31 steers were sold. Club members raise their animals for close to a year before selling them at the fair for a long waited and well-deserved payday. -Sam Odrowski photo
