Left, Jacquee Loerzel, community family violence counselor at Riverside Community Counseling Services and Jennifer Horton, owner of Curvy Chick, are kickstarting the Shine the Light Campaign to raise awareness on women abuse. Nov. 15 is wear purple day, and residents are encouraged to wear purple to show their support. Curvy Chick and 807 & Co. Boutique are holding an earring and bracelet fundraiser until Nov. 15. Bracelets could be purchased for $15, and $5 will go to char- ity. Proceeds donated to either the sexual assault department at Riverside Hospital and Hoshizaki House, the women’s abuse shelter in Dryden. Loerzel said she thanks and appreciates the advocacy shown by Curvy Chick and 807 & Co. Boutique.
