Seven Generations Education Institute held a Next-Gen Showcase on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, to show off the myriad technologies it has at its disposal to enhance learning spaces, as well as to provide fun or productive services to the general public. The showcase invited the public to try their hands at several pieces of equipment, including the Anatomage virtual anatomy table, different types and applications of virtual and augmented reality, as well as hands of training with a drilling simulator and driving simulator.
The next-gen technology can assist in opening up education in new ways for learners, or providing them with experiences they could not get safely – or at all – otherwise, such as hands-on training behind the wheel of a large commercial vehicle, or studying the inside of the human heart while it is still active.
The technology on display shows what Seven Generations Education Institute can offer students as a place of learning close to home, as high quality education can be offered without the need for relocation to a large city centre like Toronto.
