Ashton Cousineau (18) and Declan Webb of the Fort Frances PeeWee ‘AA’ Canadians brought down the barricade on highly-touted prospect Daimon Gardner of the Warroad Lakers during their semi-final meeting at the Canadians’ 10-team home tournament yesterday at the ’52 Canadians Arena. Gardner had a short-handed goal in the third period to help Warroad prevail 6-3. Fort Frances went on to lose 5-3 to the Westfort Rangers in the bronze-medal game later in the day.
