Jacquee Loerzel, right, of Riverside Community Counselling Services handed over a prize to Jennifer Horton of Curvy Chick, who was chosen as the winner of the “Shine the Light” contest with her purple Christmas tree display. With November being Woman Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, Loerzel invited local businesses to participate in the contest by decorating their windows and stores in purple to support the campaign. The judging took place on Friday, which was “Wear Purple Day.”
