Capt. Marlene Sandoval, left, Mayor Roy Avis, and Capt. Angel Sandoval officially kicked off the local Salvation Army’s Christmas kettle campaign yesterday at Safeway. The kettles will be out Monday through Saturday until Dec. 24.
