Monika Ruppenstein, above left, proudly showed off her science experiment, “Gender Stereotypes,” which earned her first place in the Grade 7/8 Fort Frances High School science fair there Monday afternoon. Above right, Kade Oster showed off this science experiment, “It’s Not The Hype, It’s the Hoop,” while below left, Emerson Evans offered “Some Sweet Advice” and below right, Chloe Dolyny asked, “What’s It Going To Take?” with her project. Joelle Bruyere got second place with her experiment, “What’s on Your Toothbrush,” while Michael Redford placed third with “Mental Agility Using Tetris Ability.” Honourable mentions were Bransen Campbell (“Hammer Time”) and Reed McKinnon (“Bustin’ Beams”). The winners will move on to the Sunset Country Regional Science Fair set for April 7 at FFHS.
