Officials from the town, school board and education organizations gathered yesterday at the site that will become the future home of a new consolidated Kindergarten to Grade 8 Catholic school here. Chief building official and municipal planner Tyson Dennis, left, Northwest Catholic District School Board trustee Anne-Marie Fitzgerald, director of education Brendan Hyatt, integrated services manager and children services lead Tanis Fretter, director of integrated services Shelly Shute, and Dan Maltais, president of the local OECTA unit, put shovels in the ground during a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of the new building which has plans to open in September 2019.
