‘Safe Community’ signing

Freeda Carmody, representing the Rainy River District Municipal Association, signed an agreement to officially re-designate the district as a “safe community” during a ceremony yesterday afternoon at La Place Rendez-Vous. Hosted by the Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition, the gala recognized everyone who made the re-designation possible for the 10 local municipalities and nine area First Nations.
