River clean-up

Angela Petsnick, left, and her Grade 2/3 class at J.W. Walker School participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup Program on Rainy River behind Legion Park yesterday afternoon. The students picked up all forms of garbage, separated them into recyclables and garbage, while their teacher kept track of what kind of trash was found. The results will be submitted to the Vancouver Aquarium where they will be tabulated. The event was organized locally by the Rainy River First Nations Watershed Program.
