Elmer Whitefish, 75, accompanied by Clifford Whitefish (bass) and Justin Boshey (guitar), played the “Red River Jig” during the Sunset Country Métis’ Louis Riel Day celebration yesterday evening at the Métis Hall here. Whitefish got folks jigging and square-dancing as part of the evening’s entertainment lineup, but couldn’t stay too long as he and Clifford had to make it to a second gig at Manitou Rapids later that night.
