Jane Councillor showed Robert Moore School teacher Chantel Gallagher and her Grade 5 students how to remove a goose’s down feathers over a fire yesterday afternoon during the Seven Generations Education Institute’s “Fall Harvest” preparations workshop yesterday at the Nanicost grounds here. Students from across the district attended the annual event, which included the teaching of many traditional skills like preparing wild rice, tanning hides, making bannock, as well as offering up lessons on story-telling and drumming. The “Fall Harvest” began Tuesday and wrapped up today.
