‘Relay for Life’

Cancer survivors, team members, and spectators (above) joined in walking around the luminary-lined track at the Fort Frances High School on Friday evening as part of this year’s “Relay for Life,” where 17 teams brought in nearly $83,000 to go toward cancer programs and research. One of the fundraisers included several people, like Tyler Cousineau, below, having their heads shaved by Paula Jensen. Then at 10 p.m., the luminaries in memory and in honour of loved ones were lit around the track, such as the one seen at right.
