George Meekis, left, Nikita Morrisseau, Darcy Whitecrow, Stephanie Legree and Jess Wilson posed for a photo at the “We Wear Red” BBQ held at the Fort Frances Tribal Area Health Services building on King’s Highway on Sunday. Whitecrow is a National Aboriginal Representative for the United Steelworkers (USW) union. The event was held to recognize the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls in Canada, and featured a presentation by Karen Keijick, as well as a drum circle.
