Signs in hand, Maija Goranson, Deanna Goranson, Ruth Belanger, and Kaitlin Belanger were just four of the roughly 85 people from across the district who turned out Friday night to participate in the “Take Back the Night” march. Walking and chanting along King’s Highway, participants “reclaimed” the night as a way to speak out against violence in all forms and women abuse. The march was revived by youths from both Fort Frances and Atikokan.
