Local children’s librarian Andrea Avis held up some of the Robert Munsch books that will be read on Friday, Jan. 23 at exactly 2.p.m. as the Fort Frances Public Library participates in a Canada-wide attempt to break the Guinness world record for “Most Children Reading with an Adult, Multiple Locations.” The current record is held by the United States (78,791). Families with pre-school children are invited to the library to help break that record as a part of the build-up to Family Literacy Day (Jan. 27). Call the library at 274-9879 for more info, or visit www.abc-canada.org for details on how to set up your own group to participate.
