Kathy Kishiqueb, director of Naaniigaan Abinoojii at Weechi-it-te-win Family Services here, told of the origins of the program and its vision, and also paid tribute to its co-founders, the late Moses Tom and the late Joseph Big George, during a banquet last night at La Place Rendez-Vous. Weechi-it-te-win is hosting a provincial native child welfare conference which started Tuesday and wraps up today. Ontario Children and Youth Services minister Laurel Broten is among the special guests attending.
