Lakers’ defenceman Cody McCool tried to angle Fort William North Stars’ forward Riley Marsh into the boards in the squad’s season-opener Friday night at the Ice For Kids Arena. The local team doubled the defending league champs 4-2 thanks to two goals and an assist from captain Tyler Stevenson. Marsh tallied Fort William’s second goal early in the third period.
