Local forward Brett Hahkala tried to skate his way around Thunder Bay North Stars’ defenceman Maxime Fortin and into their zone during the first period of the Fort Frances Lakers’ 2-0 win in SIJHL action here on Saturday night. The Lakers took three of a possible four points against the defending champs over the weekend and will end the regular season this week with a three-game homestand.
