Bonnie Penney of the Fort Frances Lions Club handed out Canadian flags to Grade 1 students at St. Michael’s School yesterday. Carla Harris’ and John Cousineau’s classes learned about the flag and each received one to take home, along with a certificate, through the club’s “Project Pride” program. Penney and fellow Lion Flora Danylchuk already have visited Crossroads School in Devlin and will be stopping at Robert Moore and J.W. Walker Schools here next week to promote the program to first-graders there.
