Prairie chickens

prairie chickens

Nearly two dozen prairie chickens (sharp-tailed grouse) have been stopping by Mike and Marie Hyatt’s home in Devlin for the past few years. It started with 14 of them, but now they bring friends and family with them to eat the ornamental crab apples from the tree that Mike’s mom, Yvonne Hyatt, and grandfather, Marshall Hyatt, planted well over 40 years ago. They come three or four times a day for the couple’s entertainment.
