Brooklyn Ensign, four, was planting seeds that soon will become cucumbers and radishes on Monday, which marked the first meeting of the Kids’ Garden Club at the Fort Frances Community Garden on Lillie Avenue North. In addition to the cucumbers and radishes, many gardeners were planting beans, lettuce, peppers, beets, and blue potatoes. The club meets every Monday from 5-6 p.m. to tend to their plots and exchange tips for being a “green thumb.”
