Callahan Wiedenhoeft and Olivia Andrushuk were all smiles during a pirate party that was held in their Grade 1 class by their teacher, Jeremiah McCart, with the help of John Cousineau. The party was a celebration to mark the accomplishment of completing the reading incentive activity, “Discover the Treasures of Reading.” The students were given little ships that were placed on a map of the Atlantic Ocean, and as they read more and more books, their ships would cross the ocean toward their destination.
