Marcy Loveday, left, and D.J. McKay worked together on a pair of paintings during Community Living Fort Frances and District’s open air art studio held in the Shaw room at the Fort Frances Public Library yesterday. This week’s project was wrapped yarn resist birch tree painting, where the yarn strings create voids in the painted areas that are subsequently marked to resemble birch tree trucks in foliage. Organizer Faith Moen said she expects to have at least two more studio sessions before the end of the year. Check out their Facebook page for updates.
