On February 29, 908 Rainy Lake RCACS participated in the Zone 26 Marksmanship Competition here in Fort Frances.
The team, which consists of WO2 Nick Gray, FCpl Emilia Saciuk, FCpl Daxxen Batiuk, Cpl Emitt McCrory and Cpl Chase Godin, took home silver. Cpl Godin received bronze in the open category (all cadets) and Silver in the junior category (cadets under 15) and Cpl McCrory took home bronze in the junior category.
There was a total of 27 cadets participating from eight units in Northwestern Ontario. 2072 Royal Canadian Army Cadets from Dryden placed first and 600 Starfighter RCACS from Atikokan placed third.
