Carine Gallagher, co-ordinator at Confederation College for the Community-Based BScN program, and Karen Poole, director of Lakehead University’s School of Nursing, spoke about the program and answered questions during an information session at the college campus here yesterday. The pilot program—which first ran in 2005 and saw its first five graduates this past spring—currently is being evaluated by the Ministry of Education. Gallagher and Poole are encouraging interested applicants to think ahead so they have all the proper prerequisites if the program does end up running again next fall.
