Santa Claus, accompanied by Mrs. Claus and an elf helper, provided the festive conclusion to the Community Christmas Parade here Saturday evening on Scott Street. People of all ages lined the streets to take in the spectacular series of floats—and get candy. This year’s theme was “Songs of Christmas.” The United Native Friendship Centre won the “Spirit of the Season” award for its float. Christian Fellowship Chapel of Stratton won the “Sound of the Season” award while Gillons’ Insurance earned the “Best Theme” award. Shari Humphrey won the “ugly sweater” prize.
