Couchiching First Nation’s 18th annual pow-wow last weekend celebrated the opening of the new pow-wow grounds located on the road to Heron Landing Golf Course, just west of Frog Creek Road. The state-of-the-art facility, with such amenities as enclosed bleachers, change rooms and a kitchen, hosted about 700 registered dancers Friday through Sunday.
