Artist Burton Penner of Vermilion Bay put the finishing touches on his mural that was installed Friday on Scott Street. The mural, which is placed on the outside wall of Nirvana within the museum courtyard depicts Rainy River as the original “Great Canadian Main Street” for the traders, settlers, and aboriginal people in the days where canoes were the main source of transportation. This mural is installed as part of Phase Two of the museum’s Heritage Tourism Project. The art was paid for by the BIA.
