Mayor Roy Avis, right, congratulated Ken Perry after he was elected as councillor in last night’s municipal byelection. Perry garnered 1,813 votes in the municipal byelection, defeating opponent Todd Hamilton, who received 792 votes. Perry will take his oath of office at tonight’s council meeting.
