Laurie Nuttall, left, and Trudy McCormick watched as Robert Oltsher signed the petition protesting the Ontario government’s cuts to Legal Aid Ontario at the Northwest Community Legal Clinic’s barbecue yesterday. NCLC held the barbecue as part of a province-wide day of action to protest the nearly 30 percent cut to Legal Aid Ontario’s budget. Staff at NCLC were on hand to explain the effects of the budget cuts, and all who visited were offered a free hot dog or hamburger.
