The Fort High band made a stop at St. Michael’s School on Dec. 20 to perform classic Christmas songs under the direction of conductor Lee-Anne Hines. The visit was made possible through a partnership between the local public and Catholic school boards in an effort to “bring music to life in the classroom.” The visit was a culminating activity to help a Grade 3 class at St. Michael’s learn about different instruments, as well as the basic elements of music such as dynamics, pitch, beat, and rhythm. The entire school was invited to join as an end-of-Advent celebration.
