Joe Medicine, left, chair of the Indian Residential Schools Working Group, along with Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day, stood proudly beside the newly-unveiled residential school monument after a ceremony at Rainy River First Nations on Saturday morning. The monument depicts local scenery and wildlife, and has the names of roughly 150 residential school survivors inscribed on the back.
