Allen Raoul, field geologist for Bending Lake Iron Group Ltd., spoke at a well-attended mining information event, hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Fort Frances economic development office, at La Place Rendez-Vous yesterday. Bending Lake and Rainy River Resources gave presentations to update the crowd on their exploration of pig iron and gold in the area, respectively, as well as their anticipated project start dates. Both operations expect to have their mines running by 2015.
