Cathryn Moffett, aboriginal and public relations engagement specialist at Golder Associates, the environmental consultant hired by Osisko Hammond Reef Gold Ltd., gave an update on how the project near Atikokan is progressing yesterday during the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s general membership meeting at La Place Rendez-Vous. As exploration continues, both an socio-economic study and an environmental assessment have begun. If the project goes ahead, it could create 2,000 jobs in the construction phase and another 500 jobs once the mine is operational.
