Sydney Beck and Pasquel Shortreed worked on making crystal structures during the “Mining Matters” workshop last Thursday at Confederation College here. The free seminar, sponsored by Rainy River Resources, ran last Wednesday through Friday, with one in-class day for adults and another focused on teaching youths about geology. The final day saw both groups join together for a visit to the company’s exploration site north of Barwick.
