Grant Goddard, general manager for New Gold’s Rainy River Project, offered information about the construction of the mine, as well as the process and machinery used to extract the ore from the rock, during a presentation yesterday at La Place Rendez-Vous. The project currently is in a detailed engineering phase and awaiting approval of the environmental assessments by both the federal and provincial governments. It remains on track for commissioning to start in late 2016, with the first year of full production in 2017.
