An event dubbed “Paddle into the New Year,” presented by the Sunset Country Métis Council and the Métis Nation of Ontario Healing and Wellness Branch, was held Saturday afternoon at the Sunset Country Métis Hall here. Those on hand were able to join in on some festive dancing as George Elliott played music on his violin while Dominic and Ethan Jolicoeur (below) had some fun learning how to make bannock. The event also included displays of MNO program information and featured a free meal and a bead-making session, among other activities for adults and children alike.
