Valdy autographed one of Alex Marusyk’s new red canvas shoes after Saturday night’s concert at the Townshend Theatre here. Valdy’s own large red canvas shoes—his signature on-stage attire—continuously were skipping and dancing during the singer/songwriter’s highly-energetic performance as he entertained the audience with “songs about freedom and joy.” The concert was sponsored by the Muskie Sports Association.
