With a vantage point of nearly 28 feet on top of a massive PC5500 shovel, it’s clear there is plenty going on at New Gold’s Rainy River site. The assembly pad is filled with massive pieces of machinery being put together, with several nearly complete. In the distance, rock from the crew’s first development blast is visible. General manager Grant Goddard said progress is on schedule.
